Esé might have been born in Nigeria and grown up in Canada, but she got to Dallas, Texas as soon as she could. Her arrival on the fashion scene in Dallas, however, required a few additional detours. But we think you’ll agree that her creations were well worth the wait. In 2012, without any financial assistance, this self-taught designer traded predictable college life for the wild world of fashion with the launch of her self-titled ready-to-wear line. At her sewing machine, she conceptualized her fascination for heavy hand beading, crocheted lace, exquisite fabrics and embroidery. Inspired by a combination of vintage, African, Middle Eastern, and contemporary European influences, she merged cultures to create her debut of her HauteCouture luxurious collection.

Launched in Sept 2016, by Foluke Olubusi from her workshop in Abu Dhabi, Prestige Styles is a fashion label focused on offering premium quality at an affordable price. Foluke started using the needle at the age of eight, making simple stitches, and creating her own patterns using old newspapers. Her passion to create clothes for real women is what lead her to use her Chartered Accountant background to help her launch a successful business.

Pheo Couture is a premium African inspired menswear designer  brand serving Toronto and other cities around the world. The brand is responsible for styling many men in Toronto and providing a sense of class, quality and style. The creative director at Ashiru Couture derives her inspirational from her experiences living in different cultures around the world. Born in Nigeria, Africa; grew up in Dublin, Ireland; and now live between Toronto and Vancouver, Canada. She is a recent graduate from the Fashion Design program at the Art Institute of Vancouver. She is extremely fascinated by the idea of creating clothing to change moods or express emotions. The brand focuses on creating luxurious red carpet, evening and bridal wear using stunning, high-quality fabrics such as sequin lace, beads, lace and silk organza. The brand has been featured in fundraisers held by the Royal Thai Consul-General of Vancouver, Little Black Dress Gala and most recently NEW YORK Fashion week.



Diana Magesa is a Tanzania based fashion designer who creates her masterpieces using waste and local recycled materials. It’s an environmentally friendly brand with a focus on keeping the environment clean. This designer has been featured on many international and local runways and won best costume designer for miss Earth Phillipine2009. This creative brand also participated in many high profile global events including miss universe Bahamas, America, Thailand, China, Japan, Brazil, Africa fashion Reception Paris, Nigeria African fashion reception, 2016 Africa fashion Week Sweden, 2017 Miss universe world Manila.



Kwesiya is a ready-to-wear and accessories brand based in Canada.
The label specializes in Wax textiles, vibrant fabrics characteristic of
West Africa. Our primary mission is to captivate audiences from all cultures, while promoting the use of African fabrics. From business attire, fresh and casual outfits to special event wear; we create pieces that can be worn for any occasion.

Kwesiya [kwé-si-ya] which means “Mix It” in a Cameroonian dialect,
defines the label and it essence of inclusion Fanny Ngantcheu is the founder and creative director of Kwesiya. She dug deep into her culture and crafted a story that formed the basis her collections: mixture.

Through her designs, she wants to bring uniqueness to your wardrobe.



Stemming from the breath taking island of St. Lucia, head designer Kadeem Faustin brings a fresh take to an old industry, by method of Defiance, Androgyny and African print; Each stitch, is carefully and strategically made.

Ezomoh David (zala) is the creative director at ZALAHARI and his obsession with Afro print fabrics plays a huge role in his collections and projects in what he summarizes as 'telling the beautiful African stories'. The Nigerian born and Fashion Art student of Seneca College Toronto, is a master-minder in Afro-contemporary and classic fashion designs.

The Frenchcouture owned by the Parisian designer Joelle Audrey, is a clothing line strongly inspired by color, ethnic cultures and french high fashion.

I am Andrea Smart owner of Andreas Dresses. I started sewing at a very young age of 12 in my home country Trinidad and Tobago. In addition to fashion school I have adapted my own style of designing.   I am very versatile as a designer of African wear, playing with fabrics and colour, creating casual looks with t-shirts and t-shirt dresses and also formal dresses for evening events and proms. I can also stop somewhere in between with beautiful party outfits.
